JPG adds lossy compression and may be larger than AVIF. Use PNG instead for transparent graphics or sharp text.

Transparent AVIF pixels are placed on a white background because JPG cannot store alpha.

Start around 90% for compatibility copies. Keep resizing blank unless you need smaller dimensions.

No. Renaming changes only the filename. This tool decodes the AVIF and creates a real JPEG file.
Are JPG and JPEG different formats?
They are common extensions for the same image format. FormatSprout downloads .jpg files.
Will colors and HDR remain identical?
