Choose your WebP files and leave PNG selected. Transparent pixels stay transparent in the PNG. Converting does not remove an existing solid background; it only preserves transparency already in the source.
Does WebP to PNG conversion improve quality?
No. PNG adds no lossy compression to the rendered image, but it cannot recover detail already discarded by a lossy WebP. Leave resizing blank to keep the original dimensions. Browser rendering can change color profiles and metadata.
Why is the PNG larger than the WebP?
WebP is designed for compact web delivery. PNG stores the rendered pixels losslessly, which can take much more space for photographs. A larger file does not mean more original detail has been recovered.
Can I batch convert multiple WebP files?
Yes. Select up to 20 WebP images, convert once, then download the PNGs together as a ZIP. Each input can be up to 50 MB and 40 megapixels.
Can I use the PNG in Photoshop, Word, or an upload form?
PNG is a useful fallback when an editor or form rejects WebP. Download the converted file and open or attach that PNG. Renaming a .webp extension to .png does not convert the image.
Will an animated WebP stay animated?
No. This converter exports a single still frame. Keep your original if you need the animation.
Are my images uploaded?
